The long-running ‘Final Destination’ horror franchise has always had a special place among fans, especially those who enjoy stories where fate and death itself play the villain. This year, the series made a comeback with its sixth film, ‘Final Destination: Bloodlines’.
It has scared the audiences in theatres and delivered strong numbers at the box office. And, now the film is now ready to make its digital debut in India.
If you missed the theatrical release, you will not have to wait much longer. The movie will begin streaming on JioHotstar from October 16, 2025. To reach a wider audience, it will be available in four languages: English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
The platform announced the release in a chilling teaser message: “Death runs in the family. Final Destination: Bloodlines streaming 16th October onwards in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu only on JioHotstar.”
Directed by Adam Stein and Zach Lipovsky, the film explores the origins of “Death’s twisted sense of justice.”

The story follows Stefanie, a college student tormented by recurring nightmares. In search of answers, she returns home, hoping to find the one person who might help her stop the dark cycle that has cursed her family.
What unfolds is a tense, blood-curdling journey that fans of the series know too well, no one can truly cheat death.
The screenplay was written by Guy Busick and Lori Evans Taylor, with the story coming from Busick, Taylor, and Jon Watts.
Box office numbers speak for themselves. ‘Final Destination: Bloodlines’ earned a domestic opening of 51 million USD, marking the best debut for any movie in the series. By the end of its global theatrical run, it had collected a whopping 286 million USD, making it the highest-grossing film in the franchise’s history.
According to Variety, the ‘Final Destination’ series overall has now crossed 983 million USD worldwide. It ranks as New Line Cinema’s third-biggest horror franchise after ‘The Conjuring’ universe (2.3 billion USD) and the ‘It’ films (1.2 billion USD).
The franchise has come a long way since the first movie in 2000. It starred Devon Sawa, Ali Larter, Seann William Scott, and Tony Todd.
The success of ‘Bloodlines’ has also paved the way for more. A seventh instalment is already in development, with co-writer Lori Evans Taylor attached to the project.
