Enrique Iglesias returns to Mumbai after 13 years; Jonita Gandhi, Progressive Brothers to open the show

After more than a decade, global superstar Enrique Iglesias is ready to make Indian fans swoon once again. Yes, you read that right! The Latin pop legend will perform live at MMRDA Grounds at BKC, Mumbai on October 29 and 30 marking his much-awaited return to India after 13 long years.

But before the ‘Hero’ singer takes the stage, the crowd will be treated to two electrifying opening acts: Indo-Canadian singer Jonita Gandhi and India’s dynamic EDM duo Progressive Brothers.

Jonita Gandhi could hardly contain her excitement. “It’s truly a dream come true to share the stage with Enrique Iglesias. I grew up listening to his music. He is such an icon. I can’t wait to connect with fans and bring my energy to this concert,” she said in a press note.

Adding an extra dose of high-octane energy to the evening, Progressive Brothers are ready to make Mumbai dance. The popular EDM duo shared their excitement saying, “Opening for Enrique is an incredible honour. We can’t wait to bring our unique sound to the audience and set the stage for an unforgettable show!”

Known for their crowd-thumping performances and collaborations with international DJs, the duo’s presence ensures the night will begin with a musical bang.

Enrique Iglesias last performed in India in 2012 during his ‘Euphoria World Tour’ where he lit up stages in Pune, Gurugram, and Bengaluru.

“I’ve missed performing in India. The fans there are some of the most loyal and passionate in the world,” Enrique shared. “Since my first show back in 2004, the love has always been unreal. I can’t wait to get back to Mumbai and bring them this new show.”

Enrique’s career is nothing short of legendary. With over 100 million albums sold worldwide, he’s one of the best-selling Latin artists of all time. He holds multiple Billboard records including 27 No. 1 songs on the Latin Songs chart. He even has the record of 14 chart-toppers on the Dance charts. And in 2022, he was crowned Top Latin Artist of All Time at the Latin Billboard Awards.
