Country music icon Dolly Parton has decided to push back her Las Vegas concerts, originally set for December 2025, after doctors advised her to undergo medical procedures.

The shows will now take place in September 2026.

The 79-year-old singer and songwriter shared the news with fans through Instagram. With her usual sense of humor, she said it felt like time for her “100,000-mile check-up,” clarifying that this time it wasn’t about cosmetic surgery.

She explained that her doctors told her she needs to take care of some health matters before she can return to the stage.

Dolly Parton was clear about why she made the decision. “I won’t be able to rehearse and put together the show the way I want, and the way you deserve,” she said. “You pay good money to see me perform, and I want to be at my very best for you.” She reassured fans that although she won’t be performing live for now, she will still continue working on other projects from her home base in Nashville.

The legendary artist also stressed that this pause is not the end of her career. “Don’t worry about me quitting the business because God hasn’t said anything about stopping yet,” she wrote. “But I do believe He’s telling me to slow down right now, so I can be ready for more big adventures with all of you.”

While she didn’t share detailed information about her health, Parton has faced challenges in recent months. She recently pulled out of a Dollywood event after being diagnosed with a kidney stone and an infection that caused her significant discomfort.

Though she could not attend the theme park ceremony in person, she greeted fans through a video message, apologizing for her absence and explaining that her doctors had restricted her from traveling.

“Hello Dollywood! It’s me,” she said in the video. “I know you’re wondering why I’m not there. Well, I had a little problem that gave me an infection, and the doctor said I shouldn’t travel right now.” She told fans she was sad not to be part of the event but reminded them that she was with them “in spirit.”

At that event, Dollywood announced its next big attraction, the Night Flight Expedition ride, which is going to open in 2026.
