‘The Skin Doctor’, a Delhi-based dermatologist and social media influencer has been arrested for allegedly posting content against the family of late businessman Sunjay Kapur. The arrest comes as the Kapur family fights a separate and bitter legal battle over an estate worth nearly ₹30,000 crore, a dispute the Supreme Court has compared to the Mahabharat.
The arrest
Delhi Police arrested Dr. Neelam Singh, widely known on social media as ‘The Skin Doctor’, after the Kapur family filed a complaint at Vasant Kunj Police Station.
The complaint alleged that Singh had posted content targeting the family in the wake of Sunjay Kapur’s death. Police acted on the complaint and took him into custody.
Investigation in the matter is currently underway.

The family’s legal war
Even before the dust settled on Sunjay Kapur’s death, a legal battle broke out within the family over his estate, which is reportedly worth close to ₹30,000 crore.
The dispute has now reached the Supreme Court. Sunjay Kapur’s mother recently filed a fresh plea in the apex court seeking that Priya Sachdev Kapur, Sunjay’s third wife, along with certain other respondents, be restrained from interfering with the functioning of the RK Family Trust. She has sought this stay for the duration of the mediation proceedings that the Supreme Court itself initiated on May 7.
In addition, she has sought a stay on a board meeting of Raghuvanshi Investment Private Limited, scheduled for May 18. The meeting was called through a notice and agenda dated May 8. Raghuvanshi Investment holds a significant portion of the disputed family estate, making the board meeting a high-stakes event in the middle of ongoing legal proceedings.
A bench led by Justice JB Pardiwala will hear the matter on May 14. The judge did not hold back while acknowledging the scale of the dispute. “We have entered into an arena. The Mahabharat will look very small. We will look into it,” Justice Pardiwala said.
