Just when fans had started planning outfits, playlists, and travel for a once-in-a-generation concert, the excitement hit an unexpected pause. Global pop queen Shakira, who had set the internet buzzing with her India tour announcement, has now postponed her much-awaited shows. And fans are not taking it well.
The big news dropped over the weekend, leaving thousands of fans disappointed. The much-hyped “Feeding India Concert” featuring Shakira has officially been postponed until further notice.
The update came from District by Zomato via Instagram, where the organisers shared a detailed note explaining the reason behind the sudden change. According to them, the decision was taken due to the “prevailing geopolitical situation and regional tensions.”
They stressed that the safety of fans, the artist, and the entire production team remains the top priority.
What happens to your tickets?
For those who had already secured their seats, there is some relief. The organisers confirmed that all ticket holders will receive a full refund.
The money will be automatically credited back to the original mode of payment within 5-7 business days. No extra steps are needed from fans’ side.
They also shared an email ID for queries, assuring people that support is available if needed.
New dates? Still a waiting game
While the postponement has dampened spirits, it is not a cancellation, at least for now.
The organisers revealed they are actively working with Shakira’s team to lock in new dates. However, nothing has been finalised yet.
Fans will have to wait for further announcements to know when the global star will finally hit the Indian stage.
