Bryan Cranston, the actor who became a household name with ‘Breaking Bad’, has won the award for ‘Best Guest Actor in a Comedy Series’ for his performance in the satirical show ‘The Studio’.
With this, Cranston now holds a total of seven Emmy trophies. Interestingly, all his previous six wins came from his legendary role as Walter White in ‘Breaking Bad’.
In ‘The Studio’, Bryan Cranston plays Griffin Mills, a quirky and unpredictable studio head. The series itself is a biting comedy set inside a fictional place called Continental Studios, led by Seth Rogen’s character, Matt Remick.
The show has an impressive lineup of stars, including Catherine O’Hara, Kathryn Hahn, Ike Barinholtz, and Chase Sui Wonders.
What makes Cranston’s win even more special is the tough competition he faced. He was nominated alongside Hollywood giants like Ron Howard and Martin Scorsese, who appeared as themselves in the show.

Dave Franco, Anthony Mackie, and ‘The Bear’s’ Jon Bernthal were also in the running. Still, Cranston’s performance stood out and earned him the prize.
Created by Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, Peter Huyck, Alex Gregory, and Frida Perez, ‘The Studio’ has quickly made history in the world of television. Produced by Point Grey Pictures and Lionsgate Television, the series smashed records with 23 Emmy nominations in its debut season. This is the highest ever for a comedy’s first outing.
It also tied with ‘The Bear’ for the most nominations for a comedy series overall.
The award was handed out during the Creative Arts Emmys, held at the Peacock Theater in downtown Los Angeles.
