Siddhant Chaturvedi is currently busy promoting his upcoming film ‘Dhadak 2’, and during a recent chat with ETimes, he opened up about his on-screen partnership with actor Ananya Panday. Siddhant was quick to say that he does not take credit for Ananya’s growth in the film industry.
“I don’t think it’s because of me,” he said. “She’s a strong and talented girl. We’ve worked together in two films, and I’d love to do more with her. Either you are an actor or you’re not, and Ananya has always been one. She just needed the right opportunities, and when they came, she made the most of them.”
Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ananya Panday first shared the screen in 2022 in Shakun Batra’s film ‘Gehraiyaan’, which also starred Deepika Padukone.
The following year, they appeared together again in ‘Kho Gaye Hum Kahan’ (2023).
According to Siddhant, whenever they have worked together, the projects have clicked with the audience. “I think we are each other’s lucky charm,” he smiled.

Their professional relationship, however, hasn’t always been free of tension. Back in 2020, during a roundtable conversation, Ananya Panday spoke about how being a star kid doesn’t automatically make life easy for her.
She said that her father, actor Chunky Panday, had never been invited to Karan Johar’s talk show or acted in big-banner films like Dharma Productions.
She wanted to explain that she too faces her share of struggles.
Siddhant’s reply at the time made headlines. He said, “Jahaan humare sapne poore hote hain, wahi inka struggle shuru hota hai,” which means, “The place where our dreams come true is where their struggle begins.” His comment went viral, and it started many conversations about nepotism and privilege in Bollywood.
But now, Siddhant Chaturvedi has made it clear that he respects Ananya Panday and her journey and is happy to collaborate with her again.
