Bollywood’s latest romantic drama ‘Saiyaara’ is turning out to be a surprise box office winner, thanks to massive support from fans and a strong weekend run.
The film, starring newcomers Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, is seeing packed theatres across the country, and the numbers are proof of the hype.
After opening in cinemas on July 18, ‘Saiyaara’ has shown a steady rise in collections over the weekend. On Sunday (Day 3), the film recorded a huge jump, collecting ₹31 crore by 8 PM, according to early estimates by Sacnilk.com.
If the trend continues for the rest of the night, ‘Saiyaara’ is likely to finish Day 3 with over ₹90 crore in total earnings, an impressive feat for a debut film.
This makes ‘Saiyaara’ the second-highest Day 3 grosser of 2025 for a Bollywood film, just behind ‘Chaava’, the historical drama starring Vicky Kaushal, which earned ₹117 crore in its first three days.
For a film led by first-timers, this is a major box office milestone.

The film’s success drives from the audiences in both big cities and smaller towns. On Sunday, ‘Saiyaara’ saw an overall 68.46% occupancy in Hindi-speaking regions, with many shows running houseful.
Young moviegoers, especially fans of Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, are reportedly flocking to theatres in large numbers, turning the film into a social media buzzword.
Produced by Yash Raj Films, ‘Saiyaara’ marks Ahaan Panday’s acting debut alongside Aneet Padda, and their fresh pairing seems to have struck a chord with the youth. The film tells the story of a young couple navigating love and life, packaged with glossy visuals, catchy songs, and heartfelt moments.
The screenplay is written by Sumit Arora, and the music, composed by Pritam, is already trending on music charts.
On its first day, ‘Saiyaara’ raked in ₹21 crore, setting the record for the highest Day 1 collection for a film starring debut actors. The film’s early momentum now seems to be paying off as it continues to climb at the box office over the weekend.
