Prem Chopra health update: Veteran Bollywood actor Prem Chopra has returned home after a brief hospital stay. The 92-year-old actor was admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai last week due to a viral infection and age-related health issues. He is widely popular for his villainous roles in Hindi cinema.
Prem Chopra’s family confirmed to news agency ANI that the hospital discharged the actor on Saturday, November 15 and is now recuperating at home.
During his hospitalisation, he was under the supervision of cardiologist Dr. Nitin Gokhale, with additional care for his lungs provided by Dr. Jalil Parkar.

Speaking to the media, Dr. Parkar explained, “Prem Chopra is a known cardiac patient. Along with a viral infection, age-related issues slowed his recovery a bit. He is stable, not in ICU, and we treated him in the ward. In a few days, he should feel much better at home.”
Prem Chopra’s career is nothing short of legendary. He is primarily popular for his iconic villainous roles. Then he became one of Hindi cinema’s most recognised faces in the 1960s and 70s. Over a career spanning more than six decades, he has appeared in over 380 films.
Some of his most memorable performances include films like ‘Woh Kaun Thi?’ (1964), ‘Upkaar’ (1967), ‘Do Raaste’ (1969), ‘Kati Patang’ (1970) and the superhit ‘Bobby’ (1973). He continued to entertain audiences in his hits like ‘Do Anjaane’ (1976), ‘Trishul’ (1978), ‘Dostana’ (1980), ‘Kranti’ (1981).
