It is every girl’s worst nightmare, but for Bollywood star Janhvi Kapoor, it started while she was just trying to finish her schoolwork. Imagine sitting in a computer lab, surrounded by classmates, only to find your own face staring back at you from a corner of the internet where no 15-year-old should ever be.

A terrifying discovery in the classroom

During a recent chat with Raj Shamani, she opened up about a “weird” and disturbing memory from her school days. During an IT class, while the boys in her grade were browsing adult websites for fun, Janhvi discovered a morphed image of herself on a porn site.

She wasn’t even a professional actor yet, but she was already being targeted. At the time, she tried to play it cool and be rational. She told herself that this was just the “cost” of being in the public eye and that social media simply lacks morality.

However, trying to shrug off such a violation didn’t make the pain go away; it just buried it.

The never-ending battle with AI

You might think things would get better as she got older, but the technology just got “smarter” and meaner. Janhvi admitted she is “not at peace” because the nightmare has evolved into deepfakes and AI-generated content.

These days, she sees “photos” of herself in outfits she has never owned and poses she has never struck.

What’s even more frustrating? Even official news pages sometimes share these fake visuals, making it almost impossible for the public to know what is real.

Janhvi is keeping her head high and staying busy on the big screen. Fans recently saw her lighting up the frame in ‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari’, directed by Shashank Khaitan, where she shared the screen with Varun Dhawan, Sanya Malhotra, and Rohit Saraf.
