The news comes less than two years after they welcomed their first child, daughter Dua, on September 8, 2024. Now, the power couple is ready to step into parenthood once again. From ‘Ram-Leela’ lovebirds to doting parents, their journey has felt like a full Bollywood script.
From film set romance to growing family
Their love story began back in 2013 on the sets of ‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela’, where sparks flew instantly.
After dating quietly for years, the couple secretly got engaged in 2015, a detail that only came out later.

They finally tied the knot on November 14, 2018, in a dreamy destination wedding at Lake Como. The celebrations were nothing short of royal. They held two ceremonies: one reflecting Deepika’s Konkani roots and the other honouring Ranveer’s Sindhi heritage.
Fast forward to 2024, when they welcomed their daughter Dua.
Deepika gets honest about motherhood
At the WAVES 2025 Summit, Deepika spoke openly about how motherhood completely changed her life. She explained that her priorities shifted from career goals to caring for another human being.
According to her, becoming a mother has been grounding, emotional, and deeply transformative.
She described how her life earlier was focused on ambition, work, personal goals. But after welcoming her daughter, she suddenly felt responsible for someone who depends on her for everything. She said she is still discovering this new phase and learning to be more present in everyday moments.
Deepika has also shared that she wants her daughter to grow up in a normal and secure environment, away from the intense spotlight that comes with being part of a film family.
Busy careers continue alongside baby joy
Even as they prepare for baby number two, both stars are juggling packed work schedules. Ranveer is currently enjoying massive success with ‘Dhurandhar 2’, which continues to dominate the box office even a month after release.
Deepika, meanwhile, has a strong lineup ahead. She will next appear with Shah Rukh Khan in ‘King’, directed by Siddharth Anand. She is also set to share screen space with Allu Arjun in AA22xA6, helmed by Atlee.
