What if your next conversation with artificial intelligence sounded like Deepika Padukone? That idea just turned real. The Bollywood star has teamed up with Meta, becoming the first Indian celebrity to lend her voice to the tech giant’s AI platform, Meta AI.

Deepika revealed the news herself on Instagram through a behind-the-scenes video that showed her inside a recording studio, smiling as she spoke into the mic.

“Hi, I’m Deepika Padukone. I’m the new voice of Meta AI. So tap the ring, and my voice will run out,” she said in the clip.

Her caption carried the same mix of surprise and excitement. “Okay, so this is pretty cool, I think! I’m now part of Meta AI, and you can chat with my voice in English across India, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand.”

This partnership is part of Meta’s growing experiment to make artificial intelligence sound more human and more local. By integrating familiar celebrity voices, the company hopes to create a sense of connection and trust between users and technology.

For fans, that means conversations with Meta’s AI could soon sound as if they’re talking to Deepika herself.

The announcement comes just days after another major milestone for the actress. On World Mental Health Day, Deepika was appointed as India’s first Mental Health Ambassador by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The honour recognises her decade-long work through The Live Love Laugh Foundation (LLL), which she founded to promote awareness and open conversations around mental health.

Professionally, Deepika is keeping her plate full. She recently began shooting for ‘King’, marking her sixth on-screen collaboration with Shah Rukh Khan after the blockbuster success of ‘Jawan’. The film has already generated huge anticipation reuniting one of Bollywood’s most-loved duos.
