Double trouble: Angoori meets Vidya
Shilpa calls this new track the “Ghunghatganj double dhamaka” a mix of comedy, suspense, and a dash of horror.
“There is a special magic and honesty in Angoori that always connects with viewers,” she says. “Stepping back into her world feels like revisiting a very special part of my life.”
But that’s only half the fun. As Vidya, the ghostly counterpart, Shilpa is diving into an entirely new persona.
“Angoori is her usual innocent and charming self, while Vidya adds a fun twist as a ghost! Both characters are completely different, and that is what makes it so exciting for me as an actor,” Shilpa shared.
Ghost with a mission
Vidya is no ordinary ghost. “She is layered, emotional yet vengeful, gentle yet powerful,” Shilpa explains. Trapped between justice and peace, Vidya’s spirit is on a mission to uncover her murderer and settle the score.
“Portraying both these extremes in one show has been creatively fulfilling and emotionally challenging. It’s truly like exploring two completely different worlds at once,” Shilpa added.
