‘Avengers: Infinity War’ becomes highest grossing Hollywood film in India

Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War has become the highest grossing Hollywood film in India with its gross box office collection being the highest for any Hollywood film released in the country.

Avengers: Infinity War over the course of its 11 day run at the box office in India, the film collected Rs 192.28 crore in its net box office collection.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed the film’s gross box office collections to be Rs 245.51 crore on his social media handles.

The film has not only become the highest grossing Hollywood film in India but also the film is the second highest grossing film of 2018 in India only behind Padmaavat.

Avengers: Infinity War has surpassed the lifetime collections of many Bollywood films like Baaghi 2, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, Raid and Pad Man, and has emerged as a success story in India.

Apparently, India is among the top 5 biggest contributors to the film’s roaring success across the globe, where the film has grossed more than $1 billion and in doing so has become the fastest film ever to gross mark.

Avengers 3 is probably the biggest Hollywood film released in India and the film is all set to become the member of the prestigious member of the Rs 200-crore club of Bollywood.

Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, Avengers: Infinity War featuring an ensemble cast was released worldwide on April 27 in 2D and 3D.
