Actor Alok Nath, who was accused of sexual harassment by writer-producer Vinda Nanda last year, is making a comeback with a feature film: Main Bhi (translated, #metoo). Call it a coincidence or just fate, the actor will be playing a judge in the film revolving around a plot of sexual harassment.

Nanda had filed a complaint with the Mumbai Police against Alok Nath, accusing him of raping her twice nearly two decades ago when they were working together on a TV show, Tara. The actor was expelled by the Cine and TV Artistes Association( CINTAA) a month after the accusation was made, last year. After Nanda, other actors such as Sandhya Mridul, Himani Shivpuri, Deepika Amin and Soni Razdan had also come out with similar allegations against the actor.
He got anticipatory bail and also filed defamation charges against Nanda.

The actor confirmed to Mumbai Mirror, “I’m not doing any films at the moment. This was something I shot for a while ago…. Is there a problem? You sound sad that I’m doing a film. It’s a puny role for poor producers, let it release.”

Actor Khalid Siddiqui, who plays the lead in the film, confirmed that Alok Nath would play a judge who “takes a strong stand against sexual harassment.”
The film deals with child molestation, particularly with regard to boys.

Main Bhi will be directed by Nasir Khan. The cast includes Khalid Siddiqui, Shawar Ali and Imran Khan.
