Bollywood actor Ali Fazal is using his voice and platform to shine light on the power of cinema beyond just entertainment. For him, movies are tools that can challenge old beliefs, open minds, and give strength to people who have been pushed to the margins of society.

Recently, Ali made headlines after attending a very special event in London. His Hollywood film ‘Rule Breakers’, directed by Oscar-winner Bill Guttentag, was screened inside the UK Parliament.

The actor shared moments from the occasion on Instagram, posting pictures with British MP Alice McDonald and Lord Wajid Khan.

In his caption, Ali explained that there was a meaningful conversation after the screening. The discussion focused on the rehabilitation of Afghan women and children. Many of them have lost homes, education, and basic dignity because of ongoing conflict.

One of the key points raised was the importance of STEM education for children in war-affected regions. Ali strongly believes that providing access to science and technology learning can help displaced kids rebuild their lives and feel hopeful about the future.

He wrote that cinema and storytelling can play a vital role in this journey. Stories, according to him, have the ability to reshape how society looks at women, refugees, and victims of war. They can challenge harmful taboos and give back respect to communities that often go unheard.
