The Screen Actors Guild has spoken and Hollywood is listening. The nominations for the 32nd Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards, now officially called the Actor Awards 2026, are out. And, this year’s list is packed with big names, surprise hits, record-breaking moments.

Leading the charge is Leonardo DiCaprio’s action epic ‘One Battle After Another’, which has made history in a way no other film has before.

‘One Battle After Another’ makes SAG history

There is no doubt about the biggest headline of the day.

Directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, ‘One Battle After Another’ emerged as the most-nominated film of the year earning stunning seven nominations. This is the highest number of nominations any film has ever received in the history of the SAG Awards.

This achievement puts the film in a league of its own.

Leonardo DiCaprio and a powerful cast get recognised

The film did not just get nominated as a whole. Its cast members were individually celebrated in a major way.

In the Male Supporting Actor category, nominees included Miles Caton, Benicio Del Toro, Jacob Elordi, Paul Mescal, and Sean Penn.

The Female Supporting Actor category featured Odessa A’zion, Ariana Grande, Amy Madigan, Wunmi Mosaku, and Teyana Taylor.

Stunt performers step into spotlight

Action-heavy storytelling was also recognised through the Outstanding Stunt Ensemble in a Motion Picture category.

Television categories see strong competition

On the television side, the awards race was just as exciting.

The show ‘The Studio’ topped the TV nominations with five nods. Close behind were ‘Adolescence’ and ‘The White Lotus’, each earning four nominations.

Nominees included ‘The Diplomat’, ‘Landman’, ‘The Pitt’, ‘Severance’, and ‘The White Lotus’. Individual acting categories featured stars like Gary Oldman, Sterling K. Brown, Keri Russell, and Walton Goggins.

Comedy series bring star power

Comedy categories were filled with familiar favourites.

Shows like ‘Abbott Elementary’, ‘The Bear’, ‘Hacks’, ‘Only Murders in the Building’, and ‘The Studio’ competed for ensemble honours. Acting nominations went to well-known names such as Martin Short, Seth Rogen, Jean Smart, Kristen Wiig, and Jenna Ortega.

Limited series and TV movies get recognition

Performances in limited series and TV movies were also highlighted.

Actors such as Jason Bateman, Matthew Rhys, Claire Danes, Sarah Snook, and Michelle Williams earned nominations.

When and where the awards will take place

The Actor Awards 2026 ceremony is scheduled for March 1. This places it just two weeks before the 98th Academy Awards.
