Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan is one of the most loved actors around and from portraying romantic characters to playing a dwarf in his latest film Zero, King Khan is in no hurry to take the mantle of the director anytime soon.

From Aamir Khan to Kangana Ranaut, several tinsel town celebrities have donned director’s hat, but SRK, who opened about it, revealed the reasons for not venturing into the field of direction in an interview with DNA.

Shah Rukh Khan’s younger son AbRam is the one of the reasons he is not venturing into direction. “I’ve a little one right now. So, if I became a director, I would be locked in a room for two years, which is not a good thing to do at present. Sitting with AbRam and trying to write a story will be impossible. I don’t want to miss out on his growing up years.”

King Khan has another reason too. He said, “I believe that if you are going to helm a film then you should be aware of the plot. You’ve to be able to say confidently ‘this is what my story is’. My thing is I’m assuming the possibilities. But sometimes, I haven’t tied up all the loose ends.”

On the professional front, Shah Rukh Khan was last seen in Aanand L Rai’s Zero which stars Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif. Meanwhile, according to the latest buzz, the actor will be seen in Saare Jahaan Se Achcha which will bring the story of cosmonaut Rakesh Sharma, the first Indian to travel into space in 1984.
