Bollywood had been facing crisis in the wake of a series of flops, but Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan has become a boon to the Hindi film industry after a long hiatus.

Released on January 25, the film also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. Even though the numbers have come down, the movie, after 44 days of its release, is still managing to attract the audience to theatres.

Pathaan is still proving a blockbuster success at the box office despite running in theatres for over a month. According to early trade reports, the movie has earned around Rs 50 lakh on Day 44 of its run. Hence, its total collection would now stand at Rs 537.91 crore.

Pathaan had an overall 10.63 per cent Hindi occupancy on March 9. It is a surprise that the SRK-starrer has been minting money more than a month after its release.

With Pathaan, SRK made his comeback on the silver screen after a break of four years. He was last seen in Zero (2018). Siddharth Anand’s directorial action-thriller Pathaan has been dominating the box office charts since its release.

Pathaan is the fourth installment in the YRF Spy Universe. The film is written and directed by Siddharth Anand and it is Khan’s comeback film after Zero (2018).

The film also saw Salman Khan playing an explosive cameo, loved but by the audience. Whereas Shah Rukh Khan is seen as Pathaan, a RAW field agent, in the film.
