Woman found murdered in Narela; suspect held

A 27-year-old woman was found murdered in Delhi’s Narela in the Outer North of the city, the police said on Tuesday.

The deceased, identified as Sadhana Singh, was reportedly involved in a quarrel with a man, Deepak, who has been held by the officers for his involvement in this case.

“We were informed that a woman has been found in an unconscious state in the area, for which a team was sent to investigate the matter,” a senior officer said.

After reaching the scene of the crime, the body of the woman was found, and upon this discovery, the crime team, along with the forensic experts, was called to the spot to conduct a thorough inspection of the body and the scene.

An eyewitness told the police that he saw the woman having a heated exchange with a man, who was later nabbed by the police.

Deepak is being questioned by the investigating officer in connection with this matter, and further details about the case are awaited.

The police have registered a case under the relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
