A day after the attack on her, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta asserted that every moment of her life and every bit of her is dedicated to the national capital.
Taking to social media platform X on Thursday evening, she said from now on, the ‘Jan Sunwai’ will be held not only at her residence, but in every assembly constituency of the city. Whatever happened on Wednesday was like a test for her. She will keep fighting for the interests of the people of the city against all the odds.
“Your Chief Minister, at your doorstep,” Gupta wrote, giving out a strong message a day after the attack on her.
Sharing an instance from her past, she mentioned that back in the time during her days in college, her father had given her a car to drive, and an accident had taken place, after which she was scared. However, recalling her father’s teaching, she mentioned that he said accidents happen in life, and one must not stop out of fear.
The CM shared that what happened on Wednesday reminded of what her father had said, and asserted that such unexpected attacks will never deter her from serving the public and upholding their interests.
She also said that women have double the strength to fight troubles, and they have to go through countless tests to prove themselves.
She also shared a couplet in Hindi on her social media handle through which she expressed that obstacles may keep coming, or there may be embers beneath the feet, let flames rain down on heads, but whatever be the difficulty, will have to walk putting the steps together.
On Wednesday evening, Gupta said such attempts can never break her spirit or resolve to serve people.
Taking to social media platform X, Gupta had termed the attack as a ‘cowardly attempt’ on the government’s resolve to serve the people of the city, and work for their welfare.
She said initially, she was in shock, which is something natural in such a scenario, but eventually she felt better.
Gupta had asserted that she would be amongst the public with enhanced energy and dedication than before.
