The Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva on Friday hit out at the AAP and its leaders, including Arvind kejriwal, saying they were demanding to live-stream proceedings of the Privileges Committee to prove the existence of “gallows” but during the meeting, the AAP supremo failed to present facts or arguments to establish that the “gallows room” existed in the Old Secretariat.

Sachdeva said it is now clear that then chief minister Kejriwal and then speaker Ram Niwas Goel had declared a room in the Old Secretariat as a “gallows room” without placing any factual record on file.

He also condemned the alleged undignified language used by former CM Atishi and former minister Saurabh Bhardwaj against the present BJP government, adding that the kind of statements made by the AAP leaders reflect nothing but political frustration.

Sachdeva also accused the AAP of having an anarchic approach towards legislative functioning while being in power in the past, alleging that even today, while being in the Opposition, the party wants to run the Assembly committees in an unruly manner.

Sachdeva called it unfortunate that even after remaining in power for 11 years, AAP leaders like Kejriwal, Atishi, and Bhardwaj do not know that as per the rules of the Assembly, the proceedings of the Privileges Committee are confidential and cannot be streamed.
