Multiple courts in Delhi, including those in Saket, Dwarka, and Patiala House, as well as two CRPF-run schools, received bomb threats on Tuesday morning, prompting extensive security checks across Delhi, an officer said.

According to the police, an email warning that explosives had been planted on court premises was received early in the morning, after which security teams were deployed to inspect the district courts. The checks found no suspicious items.

At the same time, an unidentified caller rang the Police Control Room (PCR) around 9 am, asserting that bombs had been placed in the CRPF schools in Prashant Vihar and Dwarka. In response, local police, bomb squads, and the Delhi Fire Services were immediately mobilised at each site.

“Following the call, police teams quickly reached both schools, and the premises were cleared as a precautionary step,” a senior police officer said.

He said the caller’s phone was switched off shortly after the threat was made, and efforts are underway to trace him. Meanwhile, simultaneous checks were conducted at the three court complexes following the email alert.

“We inspected both schools extensively and did not find anything unusual. The threat turned out to be a hoax,” a Delhi Fire Services official said. According to police sources, court inspections are still in progress, and nothing suspicious has surfaced yet.

Dhir Singh Kasana, who previously served as secretary of the Saket Court Bar Association, said the court had suspended proceedings for roughly two hours and would resume after the lunch break.

Navneet Panwar, vice president of the New Delhi Bar Association at Patiala House Courts, confirmed that an email warned of a bomb, prompting a sanitisation drive.

“The court sessions have resumed. There was only a brief halt,” Panwar said.

Meanwhile, strict security measures were deployed at Patiala House courts ahead of the appearance of Jasir Bilal Wani, NIA’s second arrest in the Red Fort bomb blast probe.

These hoax calls follow the recent Red Fort blast.

On November 10, a car carrying an improvised explosive device detonated near the historic monument, killing 15 people and injuring several others.

Investigators have found alleged connections between the incident and the terror module that security agencies had busted in Faridabad, Haryana, prior to the blast.
