Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Wednesday stated that severe financial irregularities have come to light in the “Jai Bhim Mukhyamantri Pratibha Vikas Yojana” run by the then Aam Aadmi Party government in the year 2021-22.

Taking to social media platform X, Gupta alleged that the AAP exploited Dalit children and tarnished Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s ideals by misusing the Dalit narrative for political gain.

According to Gupta, the said scheme of the previous AAP- led government had a budget of only Rs15 crore, but the then dispensation allegedly processed fake bills worth around Rs 145 crore in this connection.

Gupta has stated that the Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) will now investigate these alleged financial irregularities, and soon, the truth will be revealed, and justice will be served.

Those who did corruption in the name of Baba Saheb, will have to account for every penny.

CM has said that regarding this scheme, claims were made in the name of Dalit children who were supposed to get coaching, and such claims were later found to be fake.

She added that many applications in this scheme were submitted without signatures, and many institutions were found to have made 100 per cent fake claims in this.

As per CM, all that has surfaced so far, suggests a large-scale alleged scam in the implementation of the scheme meant for the underprivileged children coming from backward communities.

CM accused AAP of compromising the future of the Dalit children, the same community in whose name the party had come to power.

Gupta mentioned that by doing this, the party has not only insulted the ideals of Baba Saheb, but have also tarnished the sacred field such as education with the corrupt policies.

The scheme was aimed to provide free of cost coaching to the eligible children coming from underprivileged backgrounds, particularly belonging to the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes & Other Backward Classes.
