Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Saturday announced that her office has been fully transformed into an e-Office, setting a benchmark for other departments to follow.

Highlighting the shift, she stated that the e-Office platform has replaced traditional paper files with digital formats, making the workflow modern, streamlined, and efficient.

All 119 departments of the Delhi government are now going fully paperless, inspired by the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), which has spearheaded this forward-looking administrative reform.

Gupta claimed that the e-Office platform, developed by the National Informatics Centre (NIC), delivered remarkable results in July.

She mentioned that government departments have begun operating through e-Office, and the number of digital files handled exceeded 1.18 lakh in July, marking a growth of over 250 percent compared to June.

Gupta also noted that the e-Office system has significantly reduced paper consumption while accelerating decision-making and increasing transparency.

According to the Chief Minister, officials and staff in Delhi are now benefiting from digital file tracking, faster approvals, and the immediate implementation of decisions.

The Delhi Government is undertaking major initiatives to make its governance more accessible, efficient, and transparent. The ongoing digitization drive across all government offices in the capital has significantly accelerated the pace of administrative work.

Gupta further informed that training has been provided to officials and staff at all levels to ensure smooth implementation of the digitization process.

The Chief Minister stated, “Our government believes that when all Central Government offices are functioning on this system, the offices of the national capital must also adopt the e-Office platform. We are working in alignment with the vision of the Central Government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.”

According to Gupta, the system ensures accountability and provides real-time updates on how long files remain pending with any officer or department.

She also noted that with the official launch of the e-Vidhan system in the Delhi Assembly on Sunday, another historic transformation will be marked in the democratic framework of the national capital.
