In view of the preparations for the NEET UG re-examination, Delhi Education Minister Ashish Sood on Saturday conducted inspections at exam centres and reviewed arrangements ahead of the test.
Sood visited the CM Shri School on Pandara Road and inspected the arrangements made for the students in the presence of the Education Department officials and the area SDM.
Following the inspection, Sood stated that the Ministry of Education, Government of India, has made effective arrangements across Delhi to ensure the successful and smooth conduct of the NEET exam.
He said that since a large number of parents will accompany their children from distant areas for the NEET examination on 21 June, cooling zones of approximately 2,500 square feet have been set up at each centre, where parents and students can rest before the examination.
Sood added that these cooling zones will provide seating facilities, clean drinking water, ORS, shikanji (lemonade) and first-aid facilities to ensure that parents and students do not face any inconvenience.
He said that Chief Minister Rekha Gupta is personally monitoring the preparations and has issued necessary instructions to the concerned departments.
The Education Minister said the government endeavours to ensure every candidate takes the examination in a stress-free environment and that parents are provided with the necessary facilities.
