Chief Minister Rekha Gupta chaired a high-level meeting on Monday to review pending and ongoing development works in North-East Delhi.

The CM alleged that the previous government had neglected development in the densely populated Purvanchal areas of North-East Delhi, leading to delays and stalled projects.

She assured that her government would ensure speedy progress, timely release of funds, and proper implementation so the region can fully contribute to the vision of a “Viksit Delhi.”

Announcing Kapil Mishra as Minister-in-Charge of the constituency, Gupta said he will coordinate with public representatives and monitor project progress to ensure prompt resolution of issues.

She also directed officials to prioritize sewerage, water supply, and sanitation, and to ensure time-bound completion of works.

Gupta further announced that on the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, Yamuna Park and several other multi-crore projects will be inaugurated collectively.

Additionally, health camps will be organised at Arogya Mandirs across all Assembly constituencies starting from 18 September.

“North-East Delhi’s development is a priority. With collective effort, we will create new opportunities in education, healthcare, infrastructure, and employment,” the CM said.

Mishra, speaking on the occasion, assured speedy and transparent implementation of all projects in the region.
