With the scheme, she said now a common man in Delhi is also becoming mentally and financially empowered against serious diseases by availing benefits of cashless medical facilities.
The CM said her government is working with full strength to extend the benefits of this scheme to every eligible citizen of the national capital, to provide them with better medical services. “This mission of building a healthy India is the most powerful step towards a prosperous nation,” she added.
The scheme, for which the residents of the national capital had been waiting for long was finally implemented in the month of April last year. It became possible after the BJP-led Rekha Gupta government came to power in the national capital.
The Delhi government also provides an additional top- up to the Ayushman Bharat scheme which increased the benefit to the beneficiary.
