Will deprive US and allies of oil and gas for ‘many years’: IRGC warns it will not hold back if US crosses ‘red line’

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) on Tuesday warned that it will not hold back attacking Gulf neighbours and American assets everywhere if the United States crosses the red line by attacking critical infrastructure.

US President Donald Trump has given Iran a deadline of Tuesday 8:00 PM Eastern Time to reopen the Strait of Hormuz or face strikes on power plants and bridges.

Trump has also threatened to wipe out the entire Iranian civilisation if the country doesn’t agree to a deal.

However, Iran has refused to bow down and warned it will respond with attacks outside the region and deprive the US and its allies of oil and gas for “many years” if civilian facilities are attacked.

Earlier last night, Iran attacked a Saudi petrochemical complex in Jubail in response to Israeli strikes on its petrochemical sites, reported Iranian Fars news agency.

In view of the heightened tensions, US tech giants, including Microsoft, Apple, and major American banks in Riyadh have asked their staff to work from home this week.

The US firms are worried that if US strikes Iranian infrastructure, Tehran will respond with similar strikes and the Gulf is usually first in line to face the wrath.

The King Fahd Causeway Authority has confirmed the full resumption of vehicle movement across the strategic bridge linking Saudi Arabia and Bahrain after a brief suspension earlier today.

Iranians gather around critical infrastructure as Trump deadline nears

Meanwhile, Iranians have started gathering around power plants, bridges and other critical infrastructure, forming human chains after the Islamic Revolution called upon them to sacrifice their lives to protect the country.

Images shared by Iranian state media showed people gathered around key sites, holding placards against the United States and Israel.

According to Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, more than 14 million people have registered to sacrifice their lives.

“More than 14 million proud Iranians have so far registered to sacrifice their lives to defend Iran. I too have been, am, and will remain devoted to giving my life for Iran,” he added.
