According to CENTCOM, the US strikes were carried out on June 26 in response to an attack on June 25 involving the Singapore-flagged cargo ship M/V Ever Lovely, which was hit by a one-way attack drone launched by Iranian forces while the vessel was leaving the Strait of Hormuz near the Omani coast.
