Democrats on the House Oversight Committee in the US has released email exchanges between Jeffrey Epstein, the deceased sex offender, and his associate Ghislaine Maxwell. One of the emails mentioned US President Donald Trump, claiming he spent hours with a sex trafficking victim of Epstein.

“I want you to realize that that dog that hasn’t barked is trump.. (Victim) spent hours at my house with him,” the email sent by Epstein to Maxwell in 2011 read.

President Trump has denied his involvment in the Epstein sex scandal. However, after the latest release of emails, Democrats said that the development has struck a “blow against the White House’s Epstein cover-up”.

Reacting to the release, the White House defended Trump, saying the seletive release was aimed at creating a “fake narrative”.

“The Democrats selectively leaked emails to the liberal media to create a fake narrative to smear President Trump,” White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said.

Leavitt also claimed that the victim in the said email is “late Virginia Giuffre, who had said that Trump was not involved.”

“The fact remains that President Trump kicked Jeffrey Epstein out of his club decades ago for being a creep to his female employees, including Giuffre.

“These stories are nothing more than bad-faith efforts to distract from President Trump’s historic accomplishments, and any American with common sense sees right through this hoax and clear distraction from the government opening back up again,” she added.
