Skydiving trip turns deadly as plane carrying 11 crashes in France; no survivors


A skydiving trip turned deadly as 11 people, including pilot, were killed after a small civilian aircraft crashed in Eastern France on Sunday.

According to local media reports, 11 people, including five students and five instructors, were aboard the plane when it crashed.

The plane was carrying a group of five students for a skydiving trip and crashed shortly after taking off from Nancy-Essey Airport (ENC), France.

“A Pilatus PC-6/B2-H4 Turbo Porter skydiving plane, operating for Tandemotion Parachutisme, crashed immediately after takeoff from Nancy-Essey Airport (ENC), France. All eleven on board suffered fatal injuries,” local authorities said.

According to Al Jazeera, the police have asked people to “strictly avoid” the area around the airport in the town of Tomblaine.

The country’s Interior Ministry has said that the Interior Minister Laurent Nunez visited the site of the incident, the report added.
