Kremlin warns against potential nuclear deployment in Poland
Russia will take necessary measures to ensure its security if Poland deploys nuclear weapons, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
In his annual state of the nation address in Moscow, President Vladimir Putin on Thursday informed that Russia has developed “invincible” nuclear weapons that can “reach anywhere in the world.”
If the media reports are to be believed, Putin will win the election which will be held on the 18 March. It was his last address to the country before elections.
The Russian President unveiled a weapon that he said “could not be stopped by the US missile defence shield in Europe and Asia”, the BBC reported.

He showcased a range of new weapons, including a missile that could “reach anywhere in the world”, and highlighted two nuclear-capable weapons — a cruise missile and a submarine-launched unmanned underwater vehicle.
During the televised speech to a joint sitting of both Houses of Parliament, Putin asserted that he would regard a nuclear attack on any of its allies as a nuclear attack on Russia itself, adding that “the response would be immediate”.
In response to the announcement made by Russia, the United States said that it is not surprised by the development.
“We’ve been watching Russia for a long time. We’re not surprised,” said Pentagon spokeswoman Dana White, according to the Reuters. She added: “These weapons that are discussed have been in development a very long time.”
