Quake of 5.0 magnitude hits Tibet

A 5.0-magnitude earthquake hit Zhongba county in Tibet on Wednesday, authorities said.

The quake shook parts of Tibet at 6am (local time), according to the China Earthquake Networks Centre (CENC).

The epicentre was at a depth of 8 kilometre, state-run Xinhua news agency reported.

No casualties have been reported so far.
