About 1.60 lakh Chinese drivers have been investigated for alleged reckless driving from January to October, authorities said on Saturday.

More than 99 per cent of the cases were related to drunk driving and 59,000 of the drivers faced criminal charges after they were proved guilty, the Ministry of Public Security said.

Over 84 per cent of the dangerous driving cases were reported between midnight to 3:00 AM and more than 57 per cent of the drivers were aged from 20 to 40, according to traffic police.
