The Pakistan Army on Thursday denied that the Indian Army targeted terrorist launch pads across Line of Control LoC calling India’s claim quot;a liequot; minutes after the news of the quot;surgical strikesquot; broke out.

quot;Indian claim that terrorist launching pad in Pakistan were targeted is liequot; Pakistan Army said.

Earlier Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif however condemned the surgical strike saying quot;our desire for peace should not be interpreted as our weakness… Pakistan can thwart any evil design made to undermine the sovereignty of the country.quot;

In a joint conference by the Defence Ministry and the External Affairs Ministry Director General Military Operations DGMO Lt Gen Ranbir Singh on Thursday said that quot;the Army conducted surgical strikes last nightquot; across Line of Control LoC based on specific information that quot;some terrorists were at launch pads aiming to infiltratequot;.
