Over 479 NCC cadets from the junior and senior wings participated in the combined annual training camp for boy cadets which concluded on Saturday.
The 10-day camp was organized by 4 (Odisha) Composite Technical Company.
Officer Commanding Col. S K Palo, who graced the concluding ceremony, expressed great pleasure in seeing such a large gathering of well disciplined and enthusiastic cadets, both junior and senior divisions.
“This is a reflection of their commitment to lead a disciplined way of life and their desire to contribute to the society,” he said.
Col. Palo stressed on the importance of discipline in each person&’s life and added that it was the bedrock on which progress of any society and the country as a whole depended.
He reminded them that they were the future of the country and their parents too harbour high hopes about them succeeding in life.
While he exhorted the cadets to derive maximum benefits from varied opportunities offered by NCC, he also emphasized the importance of doing well in academics.He pointed out to the cadets that as they have come from many regions of the state, the camp was an ideal opportunity for them to learn about each other and take back good memories.
NCC officer Mr Maguni Charan Prusty also spoke on the occasion.
