Meanwhile, ahead of the Global Investors Summit (UPGIS), the state has succeeded in attracting investment proposals worth Rs 21 lakh crore so far. The manufacturing sector among all other sectors has attained the highest investment proposals of close to 56 per cent of the total investment.

The state chief minister has set a goal of making Uttar Pradesh a $1 trillion economy in the next five years. UP Global Investors Summit is being organised to achieve this goal. Prior to the event, several teams of ministers and officials invited investors to the UPGIS through roadshows in 21 cities of 16 countries, as well as major metropolitan cities in the country.

This is for the first time all the 75 districts of the state held roadshows in their districts to attract investments in their area too. Even backward districts like Sant Kabir Nagar,  Mahoba, Balrampur, Shravasti and Sidharthnagar received overwhelming response from the national and international investors.

The venue for the GIS event – Vrindavan Yojana – is being prepared in a way to provide all services to the guests and the delegates. In view of the PM’s arrival, the security arrangements are being strengthened at the venue and it is also being equipped to deal with medical emergencies.

The venue has been divided into seven blocks. The first block will be the opening ceremony.  In this block, seating arrangements have been made for about 10,000 people. Here, the PM will address industrialists from abroad and the country after inaugurating the event.

Adjacent to this block are the VIP lounges, as well as the lounges for the partner countries (Netherlands, Denmark, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Australia, the United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, Italy and Mauritius), industry partners (CII, FICCI), and knowledge partners (R&Y) while a food court is also being set up.

Adjacent to this, another block is underway, in which four hangars are being built.  Different sessions of different departments of the state will be held simultaneously in these hangars from morning till night, in which investors from abroad, country and the state will participate.  Seating Arrangements are being made for about 250 people in each hangar.
