Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been questioned for a 12th time by the Israeli police as part of their investigations into corruption allegations against the premier.

Investigators arrived on Friday at Netanyahu’s official residence in Jerusalem even as protesters gathered outside with a large banner bearing Netanyahu’s face with “crime minister” inscribed amid chanting slogans calling for justice.

Netanyahu is to be questioned in two corruptions cases in which the police have already recommended charges, reported media. One case involves allegedly taking gifts from billionaires, including Arnon Milchan, an Israeli film producer in Hollywood with super-hits like 12 Years a Slave, JFK, Heat, Fight Club, Mr and Mrs Smith among others to his credit.

In February this year too Israeli police had said that Benjamin Netanyahu should be charged over the alleged bribery cases. A police statement said there was enough evidence to indict Netanyahu for bribery, fraud, and breach of trust in two separate cases.

Netanyahu was last questioned in August concerning a corruption case involving Israel’s telecom giant though he has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing, dismissing the accusations as a media “witch hunt.”

Police made no immediate comment.

Benjamin Netanyahu is the 9th Prime Minister of Israel being in the office since 2009. He is the first Israeli Prime Minister born in Israel after the establishment of the Jewish state.
