Amid US President Donald Trump’s “clock is ticking” warning to Tehran, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on Monday vowed never to bow before any power.
According to the Iranian state media, Pezeshkian said that the enemy is now attempting to create division between the Iranian people and the regime.
“We will not bow. I will never bow before any power. We will not sacrifice the country’s dignity for the sake of comfort-seeking and our own worldly desires, but we must manage the country with prudence and wisdom,” he said.
His remarks came a day after Trump issued a stern warning to Iran, saying the clock is ticking for the Islamic Republic to sign the US-proposed peace deal.
“For Iran, the Clock is Ticking, and they better get moving, FAST, or there won’t be anything left of them. TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE!,” Trump said on Truth Social amid reports that the US and Israel are preparing to resume attacks on Iran.
On Sunday, Trump also reportedly spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who held a meeting with top aides and ministers.

The PGSA introduced at the start of this month has been characterised as a new mechanism for governing maritime traffic through the strategic Strait of Hormuz.
“In the Name of God. The official X account of the Persian Gulf Strait Authority (#PGSA) is now live. Follow us for real-time updates on the Hormuz Strait operations and latest developments,” the statement posted by the official account of the Persian Gulf Strait Authority said.
