US President Donald Trump has slammed UK Ambassador Kim Darroch for latter’s leaked emails, describing the American leader’s administration “inept, insecure and incompetent”, according to report on Monday.

President Trump Said, “The ambassador has not served the UK well, I can tell you that”.

The emails from Sir Kim Darroch said, “We don’t really believe this administration is going to become substantially more normal; less dysfunctional; less unpredictable; less faction-riven; less diplomatically clumsy and inept”.

The mails were leaked to the Mail newspaper on Sunday.

Donald Trump further said that “I hadn’t seen the mails, “the Ambassador has not served the UK well, I can tell you that” while speaking to reporters in New Jersey on Sunday night.

“We’re not big fans of that man and he has not served the UK well, so I can understand it,” he added.

President Trump also said that “whoever released the emails had “maliciously” undermined the defence and security relationship with the US, “the most important global relationship that we have”.

“The UK embassy in Washington has “strong relations” with the White House and these would continue despite “mischievous behaviour” such as this leak”, the official spokesman said.

Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt, who is seeking to become the next Conservative leader and the UK’s new Prime Minister, said the memos reflected a “personal view”, not that of the UK government.

“It was the ambassador’s job to give “frank opinions” but they did not reflect the government’s view”, Hunt added.

Meanwhile, the British Foreign Office has launched a probe to find the source of the leak.
