Mystery and conspiracy theories are flaring up following the assassination of right-wing conservative and Trump ally Charlie Kirk. One of the most talked-about claims online is the brief appearance of a book listing on Amazon titled “The Shooting of Charlie Kirk: A Comprehensive Account of the Utah Valley University Attack, the Aftermath, and America’s Response.”

What has fueled speculation is that the book was shown as published on September 9, 2025 — a day before Kirk’s assassination. Screenshots of the listing, including the cover, title, and date, were widely shared on social media before the page was removed. The book is attributed to author Anastasia J. Casey.

The sudden listing and its timing quickly went viral on X, with many users questioning whether it was a coincidence, an error, or evidence of foreknowledge and a possible cover-up.

One user wrote, “Can someone investigate this, perhaps? It’s now pulled from the Amazon online listing. Who is Anastasia Casey? Regardless of the credibility of the 9.9 publish date, how did this book get out so quickly?”

Another post read: “But check this out, another book published today? How the hell can you get a book published and up for sale in such a short time ??? @FBIDirectorKash @AGPamBondi @realDonaldTrump @DonaldJTrumpJr.”

Amazon, in a statement, stated that they have removed the title in question.

Conspiracy theories surrounding Charlie Kirk’s assassination

Conspiracy theories have always surged in the aftermath of major global events. Following Charlie Kirk’s assassination, the internet is once again flooded with speculation about his murder.

Some of the most famous conspiracy theories in history include the 9/11 claim that it was the U.S. government — not Osama bin Laden — that brought down the World Trade Centre in a controlled demolition, and the theory that Adolf Hitler ordered the bombing of his own capital building.

Kirk’s assassination is now drawing similar attention, with a wave of intriguing conspiracy theories rapidly emerging online.

1) Shooting was fake. Kirk’s ring switches fingers

A viral claim suggested that moments before Charlie Kirk was shot, he was seen donning a ring on his ring finger, but in the aftermath, the same ring appeared to have shifted to his pinkie finger. Online conspiracy theorists cited this as supposed proof that the shooting was staged or digitally manipulated.

The theory speculated that Kirk wore a hinged ring on his right hand that could easily unclasp and move, fueling suspicion of tampered footage. However, video and photo analysis indicate it was the same ring Kirk had worn in past appearances. At the instant of the shooting, the ring likely became loose, bouncing or hanging in a way that created the illusion it had shifted between fingers.

Experts note the movement is consistent with normal physics and the way such jewelry behaves, dismissing claims of CGI or AI fakery in the footage.

2) Israel killed Charlie Kirk?

Online conspiracy circles have tied Charlie Kirk’s assassination to his recent dealings with Israel. According to these claims, Kirk had been invited to Israel by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu only two weeks before the shooting, but he declined the offer. Some reports also allege that Kirk confided in friends about fearing retaliation if his criticism of Israel went too far.

Speculation deepened after footage resurfaced from a month earlier, when Kirk told Megyn Kelly that several wealthy Israeli and Jewish donors had accused him of anti-Semitism for raising questions about Jeffrey Epstein’s alleged links to Mossad. Conspiracists also seized on Netanyahu’s swift reaction to the assassination on social media—issued even before U.S. officials commented publicly—as “unusually fast” and suggestive of possible advance knowledge.

3) Cover-up for Epstein files?

Online conspiracy theories suggest that U.S. President Donald Trump ordered Charlie Kirk’s assassination to divert attention from the ongoing Epstein scandal. Trump is currently embroiled in controversy after Democrats and The Wall Street Journal revealed a racy letter, allegedly written by him on Epstein’s birthday. The note featured a doodle of a curvaceous woman alongside the phrase “our wonderful secret.”

According to these theories, Trump orchestrated Kirk’s killing as a cover-up — a bizarre claim that has quickly gained traction across the internet.
