Lotus Valley International School held its Scholar Badge ceremony on 24 September. Students were awarded the badges as recognition of their outstanding academic merit and excellence. This ceremony is one of the most anticipated and time tested tradition of all schools. Parents and kin of the young scholars were also invited and proudly witnessed their wards receiving their honours. Students who were awarded scholar badges for three years were awarded the scholar blazers as a hallmark of true academic genius.
Ramjas Foundation organised the Inter-Ramjas Bal Kavi Sammelan on the 3rd September 2013. The event was held at Rai Kedar Nath Auditorium under the convenorship of Vasundhara Sharma, Principal of Babu Ram Happy School. Vijay Kishore Manav, an acclaimed poet and litterateur was the chief guest. Alok Srivastava, an esteemed poet and a journalist was the guest of honour on the occasion. The participants were adjudged by a bench of three distinguished poets.
Trinity Institute of professional studies, Dwarka celebrated its fresher’s party recently. The programme started with Ganesh Vandana followed by fresher pageant contest for the students. Students, both old and new, presented their dazzling cultural items in between the rounds of the competitions to make the event colourful. All together, four students ~ two boys and two girls ~ were presented with trophies. Two special prizes for “Promising Attendance” and “Best Performer as New Comer” were also awarded.
Manav Sthali School recently inaugurated its Literacy Week. The spectacular event commenced with lighting the lamp of knowledge.The school auditorium, which was brimming with excitement, went into a silent mode as the event began with a performance of Saraswati Vandana followed by the “Literacy Pledge” to dispel the darkness of illiteracy and corruption from our country and light the lamp of knowledge. Soon after, an audio visual presentation highlighting the literacy and endeavours undertaken by the school towards the social causes.
Muskan of Class VIII from N P Girls Middle School was awarded the student of the year trophy and certificate for the year 2012-13 by The Statesman. She was recognised for her participation in all activities, both curricular and co-curricular. She also participated in Annual Function celebration of NDMC Schools at Talkatora Stadium and won the hearts of spectators. She has won many prizes in inter-school as well as intra-school competitions. Muskan belongs to a lower income group and despite all the constraints in her life she overcame all the obstacles with determination and won this award.
