Afghanistan receives over 8,000 foreign tourists in two years
More than 8,000 foreign tourists visited Afghanistan over the past two years, local media TOLOnews reported Saturday, citing a government official.
Seven civilians were killed and five others wounded in a roadside bomb explosion in Afghanistan's eastern province of Nangarhar on Friday.
The explosion occurred when a van hit the bomb in Achin district, 120 km east of Kabul, at around midday, the government said. The injured were shifted to a hospital, Xinhua news agency reported.
The government blamed the Islamic State militants for the bomb attack.
