Bangladesh will observe Thursday as a day of mourning for the victims of the US-Bangla Airlines plane crash in Nepal, officials said.

The Bangladesh Cabinet at an emergency meeting with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair on Wednesday made the decision, bdnews24.com reported. She cut short her Singapore visit following the aviation disaster that killed 51 people including 28 Bangladeshis.

As part of marking the mourning day, special prayers will be held at mosques, temples and churches and pagodas across the country.
