Here's Your Race Weekend Sheet

Friday is all about practice where the drivers learn the track and test their cars.

Day 1:  Friday  (Practice Begins)

Two sessions: Free Practice 1 and Free Practice 2, each of which lasts for an hour. Teams test tyres, speed and setups.

FP1 & FP2

Saturday starts with Free Practice 3. This is the last chance to adjust the car, after which, cars are locked in.

Day 2:  Saturday  (Final Practice)

Qualifying decides the starting grid for the race. It happens later on Saturday. Faster lap = better starting position.

What is Qualifying?

All 22 drivers compete and the slowest 6 are eliminated. They start from the back of the grid on Sunday.

Q1 Explained

Remaining drivers battle again and another group gets knocked out. Middle positions of the Grid are decided here.

Q2 Explained

Top 10 drivers fight for pole position where the fastest lap wins the front row. This is the most exciting part.

Q3: Final Shootout

Lights out and away we go. Drivers race for points, podiums and glory. Strategy, pit stops and skill decide the winner.
