The latest trend in a smartphone is high-megapixel cameras. Now, Samsung, the makers of 64MP image sensor, is preparing to hop on board the 64MP bandwagon with the Samsung Galaxy A70s, a new entry in their A line of mid-range smartphones.

The Samsung Galaxy A70s is said to be a slightly iterated version of the Galaxy A70. It is expected to have identical dimensions and a similar battery as its predecessor. The Galaxy A70s was spotted on TENNA with the model number SM-A7070. According to the listing, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A70s will feature a 6.7-inch display and a 4400mAh battery. It is touted to offer dual-SIM card slots and measure 164.2 x 76.7 x 7.9mm.

The Samsung Galaxy A70s is rumored to sport a Super AMOLED display with a waterdrop notch. It may be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 chipset. The smartphone is said to come with 6GB RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage. It is likely to run Android 9 Pie out of the box.

Previously, the Samsung Galaxy A70s was reportedly spotted on Geekbench listing where it managed to get a score of 2,365 points in the single-core test and 6,372 in the multi-core test.

The Galaxy A70s may sport a 64MP Samsung ISOCELL Bright GW1 sensor alongside an ultra-wide-angle lens and a depth sensor. However, details of the camera are yet to be known. The Galaxy A70s may launch by the end of this month. It could be introduced at a starting price of Rs 32,990

Given that the support page recently went live, it means that we may not be far off from the launch date. Then again, given that this phone is just a minor, camera-oriented update to the current Galaxy A70, there isn’t a lot to look forward to besides that 64MP camera sensor, so Samsung may go for a quiet release instead of a full-blown launch event.
