Samsung, employees agree to 5.1 pc pay raise for 2024
Samsung’s management and its workers agreed to an average 5.1 per cent pay raise for the year, sources said on Friday.

Xiaomi is going all guns blazing to increase its share in the Indian smartphone market. Chinese handset maker Xiaomi on Wednesday launched Redmi 8A smartphone with a 5,000mAh battery at a starting price of Rs 6,499 (2GB+32GB variant) in India.

The Redmi A series refresher will also be available in 3GB+32GB variant with a price tag of for Rs 6,999. Both the variants will the available on Mi.com and Flipkart, starting September 29. With this handset, the company has introduced USB Type-C 18W fast-charging support for the first time in this price segment.

The Redmi 8A comes with a 6.22-inch ‘Dot Notch’ HD+ display and an aspect ratio of 19:9, thus, promising an immersive experience. Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 43 the device has expandable memory support up to 512 GB with a dedicated SD card slot along with dual sim facility. The phone also supports wireless FM Radio.
Talking about the cameras, the device gets a Sony IMX363 12-megapixel primary camera with f/1.8 aperture and pixel size of 1.4 microns. The camera comes equipped Dual PD autofocus and AI portrait mode for bokeh effect. The phone gets 8-megapixel AI selfie camera on the front.
