Apple iPhone XR, the cheapest of the three models released by the company in September, will go on sale in India from Friday. The India price range starts from Rs 76,900, which is for the 64GB model.
The new iPhone XR with an all-screen glass and aluminium design featuring a 6.1-inch Liquid Retina display is touted as the “most advanced LCD in a smartphone”.
The iPhone XR, integrating technologies from iPhone XS, is packed with A12 Bionic chip with next-generation Neural Engine. Apple calls it the “smartest and most powerful chip in a smartphone” that will unlock new experiences for immersive AR, games and photography. The device is available in six finishes — black, white, blue, yellow, coral and “(Product) Red’ — and customers in India can start pre-ordering from Friday, October 19, at 12:31 pm.

It promises an all-day battery life, “lasting up to an hour and a half longer than iPhone 8 Plus”, according to Apple.
The Apple iPhone XR was launched along with luxury iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max last month.
From October 26, the device would be available at all Apple authorised resellers in 64GB, 128GB and 256GB models, the company said in a statement.
