Alongside the launch of new Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL smartphones, Google also launched also unveiled a new Daydream View VR headset at San Fransisco event.
Google says that it has improved the Daydream View VR headset a lot. The company is calling it Daydream View refreshed.
It now has high-performance lenses for improved viewing clarity as well as a wider field of view. The construction and premium two-tone fabric design remains the same however.

The company will be introducing three new colour variants of Daydream View VR headset – Fog, Charcoal, and Coral. The headset is compatible with all Daydream-ready smartphones including the new entrants – Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL. The controller will be bundled in the box.
“There’s so much to experience on Daydream. Last year, we launched with 25 apps and games. Daydream now has more than 250 titles, so you’ll never run out of things to do. Over the last year, we’ve also seen how much people love watching immersive VR video on apps like YouTube VR. And no wonder: great VR video puts you in the center of the action – a wholly different experience from watching a conventional flat screen display,” Google said in a press statement.
Google Daydream View VR headset: Price and Availability
The all-new Google Daydream View VR headset has been priced at $99 in the U.S.
In India, the Google Daydream View refreshed will be sold exclusively on Flipkart starting November 1, and it will be priced at Rs. 7,999.
